KJW m700 not cocking

I have a kjw m700 that will not fire. It started out by only firing the bb a few feet (I think a striker problem) and now it won't fire at all. The problem is in the trigger I believe, the metal piece that the trigger actually allows to move is very hard to move and the striker spring isn't moving it when I pull the trgger. I've tried lubricating with gun grease but to no avail. I can provide pictures if it will help.

Try some silicon oil. It's thinner and will seem into areas that grease won't I had an odd problem at one point, my KJW M700 wouldn't fire, it'd cock fine but pulling the trigger was like the safety was on, it pulled right back and nothing. I separated the stock, worked some oil in the trigger mechanism, repeatedly pulled the trigger and reassembled. Been fine since.

Side note, you do fill the mags with the gas canister upsides down, right? Odd that you only get a few feet out of it.

Pics would help also if you see something out of the ordinary.

Yes, I am loading them with the propane bottle upside down so that the liquid propane is filling the mag. I'll try the silicon oil.

Update

Beautiful, I used some sewing machine oil and filed the part down a VERY small bit. It now cocks and the pin strikes. But now the pin isn't hitting the magazine hard enough to get gas out.

You know how to get the bolt out? Remove the mag, pull the bolt back, in front of the trigger is a flat peice of metal (in between the trigger and mag release), press it and pull the bolt out throught he back. Once out, remove the two slotted screws you see halfway down the bolt, and remove the allen/hex head set screw right at the rear. Try turning the rod that has the striker spring one way or the other, reassemble and test. Keep doing that until you get it the way you like it. Adusting that rod with the spring on it sets the preload tension of the striker (and the resultant fps).

Hope that helps you out some, glad you made a bit of progress. Good luck!

Ok, it is shooting beautifully now. The striker spring had slipped down the rod a few loops. Do you know how to adjust the amount of gas expelled per shot?

Exactly as I described above, the guide rod the striker pring rides on. turn it one way, fps goes up, the other way, fps goes down.
