WE 888 Stainless Steel Bolt

I'll make this quick.

I talked to a friend of mine regarding making my current bolt stainless steel and said it would cost $800 in labour. I'm not too interested in spending that much so does anyone know of a cheaper alternative, or if stainless steel bolts are even made for this gun?

Why dont you just sand off the paint and polish the stock bolt? A real steel bolt won't even cost you that amount of money :|

Yeah I knew it was going to be a lot cheaper than what my friend told me. What do you recommend for sanding and polishing? Are there any guides or videos around?

I can't even guess why you'd want a stainless steel bolt. You didn't explain your reasons for wanting one. That'd wear the living hell outa all the other components, and the difference in mass..?
If just for the sparkly factor, why not just strip it of all parts and gaskets, then soak it in hot water with TSP? That'd likely remove any remaining finish with little more than scrubbing with dish detergent and a green scrubby left...

But seriously...just use different grades of sand paper and a polish, should be good enough.
