He said that the buffer tube has something molded onto it so there is no room to fit a sling adapter. I took his word for it (I'm a huge newbie at airsoft, clearly) and assumed my only other option was to drill a hole, since I have never seen or heard of the swivel point mounts before.

The castle nut is molded on the buffer tube on the amoeba's but they also come with the sling plate you can remove and replace with one that has the spots to clip on a sling.

willing to perform services in a dark alley that may or may not leave you satisfied for a title. GFE = 1, looks = 2, BBFS for an extra $50.

your stock has 2 perfectly good sling points

1,2,3 point slings, para cord, QD atachments, the possibility are many, what you choose and how you use your sling is entirely what works best for you.

Just don't go attacking an innocent stock with a drill before you have tried the above options.

Yep, I did that since my Ares Amoeba does not have the lovely slot. I eventually got the right long QD mount but haven't bothered to install because there is something nice about a DIY.
