alternative trigger part for Gearbox V2
I have seen this and found it very interesting, specially if I want to use any kind of mosfet.
http://www.btcairsoft.com/images/pro...ger_v2_mk2.jpg Does anyone know how is their quality and overall feedback? Is there anything similar that I can buy(from ebay maybe)? thanks in advance |

You would need a rather smart MOSFET to use the btc chimera trigger boards. Similar units to the mk1 (you linked to mk2 unit) can be found with the jefftron MOSFET units (well, more like spectre units), and the g&g etu unit.

I'mnot sure what you're asking... are you asking if the btc chimera trigger board can be used on any mosfet?
or are you asking if there are other mosfets on the market that use trigger boards?

The thing is i do not want a smart mosfet trigger. I just want a dumb trigger that uses electrical buttons instead of contact plates. i want to connect it to a mini computer.

I think he's talking about putting in a normal trigger actuating a microswitch connected to a PCB wired to a mosfet... Not sure though...

I don't think you understand how these things work. Triggerboards are not interchangable. They are unique to the mosfet because on those units, they are computer controlled and have specific programming to use those switches. If you want to put a microswitch in, then you either need to start with a gearbox that uses a microswitch like an ares gearbox, or you buy the components yourself and attempt to customize your own system.
The btc board you have pictured also replaces the cutoff lever, so the btc unit has programming to interpret those signals. A mosfet is not a computer. A computerized mosfet has a micro processor and custom programming coded for features unique to the hardware installed on the unit, aside from a mosfet.

Most guys that are running these new MOSFET boards that have on-board microswitches are going to the the SPEED externally adjustable triggers. Even thought it says HPA, the HPA systems actually uses a tiny board with a microswitch.
You get a stop setscrew so the trigger will never over travel to bust the switch unlike the older MOSFET systems that uses a original trigger trolly. It also has a pre travel set screw. The biggest bonus is a custom light pulling spring. http://www.evike.com/search/?search_...rigger&x=0&y=0 https://www.facebook.com/reapertecha...nch_main_video Last edited by SuperHog; May 22nd, 2016 at 10:36.. |
