Drilling holes on FAST Helmet
I am looking into getting a helmet but it does not have the holes that help with ventilation. I was thinking of drilling my own holes in it. Has anyone ever done this before? should I even do this? Any factors that I need to consider before doing so?
thanks in advance eh |

If it's a Kevlar or steel helmet than any holes you drill will compromise the structural integrity of the helmet. If it's a plastic or fiberglass helmet then all you need to worry about is cleaning the burrs and flakes out of the holes. Fibre glass is itchy as hell when it gets on you.

Why not just get the bump versions that come with holes already?

That's just too logical.

Because I got the helmet already from a third person and not from a store.
