Ares MSR 700
Hey guys,
bought an MSR700 bolt action and it slam fires. Does anyone know where to get a new sear set (trigger and piston)? Been emailing Ares but no response and can't find anything online. If not, anyone know how to cure this problem? |

There is no cure, the cylinder parts are all plastic....
I tried to use their normal support address and took forever, but they are the only ones I found with trigger sets (get their gunsmith series, it's worth it). Use gigi@aresairsoft.com she is who I got all my parts from. And if she asks about ordering through the Canadian retailer, just tell them you can't contact them. As for piston, the whole cylinder set is VSR compatible (about the only thing that is) So just get some VSR parts in there. All the cylinder internals are plastic so you might as well just buy a whole new set. |

i curently have a ms700 and msr700 (both are tx system so same parts)
my msr was bought used and had the same slam fire problems one of the important thing for the ares triggers, you do have to pull the trigger all the way back so the roller clears the sear correctly gigi at ares told me to go through there HK reseller (saleswargamegearhk@gmail.com) to get the parts to change the sear (btw, you can now get 90 degrees sear) and my m700 came with 90 degrees sear and piston my msr is now converted to mancraft sdik system and my m700 is on pdi system on the pdi, they have the specific parts for tx system so if you change your sear, you can get it to a 90 degrees at the same time |
