Anyone know of a business that will alter metal airsoft parts?
I've got a 1911 slide I want to alter - just for looks and to add custom iron sights onto. Like flat topping and cutting channels to fit the sights.
I have no idea what to search for because I am a dummy. Does anybody know of someone who is willing to CNC or work with metal airsoft parts? I know of Imperial/PCEtch but Dave does more engraving than what I'm looking for. |

Well, I'm not in your area, but I've had this exact issue and no one is answering. So basically what I've done is to either call or take in parts to different machine shops and see what they can do. Most of them are interested if nothing else. There's two basic types of shops, fabrication which focuses on mostly creating things from scratch, but they like to make orders in quantity and then of course there's modification/alteration shops, which focus on fixing, replacing and retooling. The latter is what you want, but there are of course shops who do both. Anyways, as long as it's not pot-metal they can probably easily help you out with whatever and may not charge you much. That being said, the more materials and the more complex the job, the higher the cost. So hit Google and start searching bud.
