Airsoft revolvers

I want to get a revolver as my first real airsoft gun (good quality) and need recommendations.

I want to buy a snub nose for cqc ability (not playing games with roe) but I was wondering if I could get advice. It's a WG with shells. I could also use a good website for buying revolver shells.

Revolvers are shit, they function as nothing more than collector's items

No barrels... No hopup. Bbs fire directly out of shells. Most shoot ridicoulsly high over limits in order to get any range. Low power shells or homebrew mods get lower fps but even less range.

You're most likely not going to be able to run an airsoft revolver as a cqb gun. Most cqb arenas have an FPS limit of about 360-380FPS, the wingun/dan wesson revolvers shoot over 420 FPS on average, so there's no way you're running one of those for CQB.

Grab a semi-auto pistol or (better yet) an SMG of some kind for XT.

I know it seems frustrating to start out and have everyone saying "Buy an AEG" when you have a certain play style in mind, but it's mostly because older players have 'been there, done that'.

Most revolvers (even snubbies, especially WG shell-operated guys) will not shoot within XT limits without mods.
Best to get an AEG that handles well in close quarters (or a common semi-auto pistol) and get a hold of the game before branching out.

I highly encourage people to think outside the box when starting out (I started with a pistol when people said "Don't do that!! It's stupid!!!"), but if you go against the grain you have to be prepared for the skill curve to be dramatically steeper. You'll climb faster with higher challenge, but it'll also suck a lot more.

I run Airsoft Practical Shooting at XT most Tuesdays (call for availability) where newcomers to the sport can get ahead and salty old dogs can hone skills. It's a very positive group. You'd be welcome if you'd like to try some new things or already have this revolver and want to work on using it effectively.

My first gun was a Dan Wesson revolver. I did a home brew mod to make it fire under cqb limits. Mind you my first ever feild was ttac13, so engagement distances were like 20 feet, lol. Then my first ever primary was a gas KJW m4. I feel like going through the hardship of having to place good shots while everyone else around me with their sewing machines blasted off 16238897 rounds at a single target made me a better player in the long run.

That being said.... I still wouldnt recommend a revolver as your first weapon. Once I started visiting other fields the revolver became useless, other then a prop. Get yourself a good semi auto pistol. Better yet, get age verified, and have illusion build you a nice TM glock ;p. Or buy a package on the classifieds.
