134a gas in TM HiCapa? PFFFFFT!!!

Wow, just totally impressed myself, wanted to share a little story.

I bought a TM HiCapa and a can of 134a as was recommended. It shot nice, reliable. Rapid firing sometimes caused the mag to cool leading to a weakening blowback and occasional misfire at the 8-10 shot mark. I just didn't rapid fire more than a half dozen shots in succession and it was fine.

Well, this weekend I bought some green gas because I was curious about how the HiCapa would deal with it and I like living on the edge (I still don't have my prope adapter yet :| ). Lets me just say this gun is much better with green, hands down.

I was just fartin around after target shooting for a while and decided to fill the mag with floor BBs as I was cleaning up and just see how the cool down was on rapid fire. This is where I got surprised, there wasn't any cool down. I repeated this proceedure a couple times as I picked up all the floor BBs I had laying around and finally went for pure speed. In just under 5 seconds, I fired off an entire mag (30BBs) with each shot and its blowback being perfectly crisp. No sign of any cool down whatsoever, even the mag wasn't that cold - far less cool than the 134a rapid fired half as much. Also, the maglock engaged perfectly everytime at the conclusion of the payload, unlike duster where it sometimes would fire off a few dry shots before engaging at the end of a mag. I can't wait to test the propane! Keep in mind this is a stock gun... very impressed.

FWIW, I'll only be too happy to blow the slide off this baby. Gives me an excuse to drop for an aluminum one, but I honestly just don't see this happening.

Congratulations. You've discovered what the majority of the vancouver based players (at least...) have been enjoying since the arrival of the hi-capa...

... green gas/propane is superior, and the marui guns (despite ever-so-much chatter) have been standing up to it's use for a decent amount of time.

of note: the hi-capa design and magazine do have a particular efficiency about them too though..

Heh not to mention the recoil that propane gives off in the Hi Capa's. God damn.

Yeah, haha. I shoulda guessed it was known out there. It was certainly one of those 'ape-picks-up-bone-invents-tool' moments for me as a chairsofter though, lol. Right now, its the only piece of gear I got. Still waiting on my M4S and BDUs. *sigh*

I've got the WE metal version, on Propane.

The cool down is alot more pronounced than the TM on Green or HFC134, but my god it's a monster. Until this gun I've never strayed away from WA 1911s on 134, so it's a bit of a shock when my handgun can produce recoil that acually makes me re-aim after each shot.
