UTG MP5 Upgrading
Hey im lookin to get an aeg and im on a tight budget, no more than 200. I see that there is the UTG MP5 for 100 and they say its just as good as the TM version but i was wonderin a couple of things about it. Stock it says it shoots like 280 and for me thats a lil weak so im curious bout upgrading this gun. I would like to replace the plastic bushingss with metal ones and add a M120 spring for more power, would i need to get a better battery? and would this set up work for this gun, as in would these upgrades destroy the gun or would it work fine and be a great aeg. Last is i have no experience taking apart an aeg so would these upgrades be something that i could do? Any help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also feel free to tell me if i should go another route, as in not get that gun but get this one, etc. I am open to gas guns by the way if that would be the best way to go. Thanks again.

I point you towards the UPGRADES section... and forget this sport unless you have the cash to buy good equipment.
You dont take a tricycle to a Formula 1 race. You really should visit US-based sites. Our laws are different, so are our prices. I bet there are resources and players in your State. |

Hey
Well upgrading your gun in anyway will lower your guns life. If you are new to airsoft, I suggest getting whichever gun you want and play with it stock for a while. |

In response to Greylocks
First of all sorry im not canadian Second it seems more people in canada play airsoft so why not ask the question on a canadian forum Third whether the gun is in the US or in canada its the same gun so why should answering my question be affected by the fact that ur in canada and im in the US? |

If we haven't seen the gun, how the hell are we going to give you useful advice? Seriously, there are maybe a dozen UTG MP5s in Canada. You're much better off asking on a local forum.

The thing is there are no local forums. Airsoft, sadly , isnt that big down here.
