TM Hi-Capa: PGC aluminum slide & TK barrel
TM Hi-Capa
The PGC Aluminum slide: Very nice finish, sites needed a bit of tapping to get them on. The internals were a bitch to get to fit. The inside of the slide need to modded and the rear site needed to be modded too. After that, it fit on very smooth. The TK metal outer barrel: Gun metal finish.. what more can you can ask for. lol. The slide and the barrel need a few mags for them to mesh nicely together. good thing was it didn't need any mods. Had the TK piston cup set. detroyed the kit in less then 1 mag. So i put the stock o-ring set back in with the modded cylinder and it hasn't bitched yet after 3 mags. Current mods: Nine Ball hammer spring Nine Ball recoil spring Nine Ball high flow valves Nine Ball custom slide stop PGC aluminum slide TK outer barrel

The TK Piston cup set is a piece of shit, I killed mine in just a few mags when the gun was stock. :x Biggest waste of 30 bucks.
Nice to know the slide isnt going to be too much trouble when it finally gets to me though. |

I'm currently conducting some research on the failures of the Tanio Koba Piston Cups to see if it could be caused by installation error, or failure in manufacture. The results may help me in claiming refunds for people if it's found that error is caused by manufacture.
I've sold 15 of these and 3 of the buyers have told me that they cracked it. My main question at this moment is when installing the cup: did you install it so that it cups IN to the cylinder, or away from the cylinder. In other words, does it taper away from the cylinder or in to the cylinder, respectively? Anybody who has had any Tanio Koba piston cup failures for their Marui Hi-Capa 5.1, please PM me with the answer to my above question. Thanks for your help. Cheers, Brian |

I highly doubt it, unless the blown cup is causing the loading muzzle to stick forward - but if that was the case, then you wouldn't even be able to close the slide. Your muzzle's loading ramp could possibly be broken.
