Matching KM TN taper cylinder to piston/cylinder head
I'm sitting here fondling a KM TN inner-taper cylinder. I'm hoping to match it to my KM TN 6.04mm 237mm inner barrel.
I also have a KM cylinder head matched to the inner-taper cylinder. My question is - should I transplant my Systema silent piston head kit (cylinder and piston heads) over completely? Or should I take the piston head only? Or should I get a new piston head to match the inner-taper cylinder?

Explain how your KM cylinder head is "matched" to your cylinder?
I'm asking because the KM "taper" cylinder heads is not specifically meant for the taper cylinder. The taper cylinder head is also not to be used with any guns shooting over 1Joule or you'll lose a lot of power. But to answer your question, the Systema silent piston head combined with the KM TN cylinder head gives a REALLY quiet and unique sounding setup. It's an expensive combo, but IMO, it's worth it and more effective than the Systema silent piston head matched with the Systema cylinder head. The rubber buffer on the back of the KM cylinder heads are really thick and absorb more impact than the Systema counterparts. |
