TM M16A2 upgrades advise
Hey all,
This is the list of upgrades that will go into my M16A2: ========================================= PDI 170% Area 1000 Oilless Bushings Guarder Spring Guide for Gearbox Ver 2 Area 1000 Poly Carbonate Piston Marui M16/M4/SR chamber blocks---to fix the wobble 9.6V 2400mah large battery ========================================= I am not a professional in upgrades. That's why I'm posting this to find out how people changed their toys. I've been given a few answers as if you don't need such a powerful PDI(so drop it to 150%). I looked at the springcharts from asc, arnies, they make sense. Difference is I'll be using 0.25g BBz not 0.2g and fps drops ~40. A review http://filairsoft.com/cgi-bin/yabb/Y...num=1095081100 ---from Filipino Airsoft was saying you need the poly carbonate piston under m140/PDI240% and aluminium piston over that %. "Stock Gears can handle up to M130, SP130, PDI190% with a 9.6v 1700mah(min)" ---info from the review link. Do you actually need all those upgrades above or it's a waste of money, time, and thinking? What would you suggest? Thank you, Danny |

yes, gears might make it... but the GBshell... well mine broke... i'd recomend you a systema complete mechabox with a m120 inside... will live long... to fix the barrelwhobble: buy a one piece outerbarrel ;-)

or alternative: buy a g&p m16a2... there you have fullmetall, Bearbox with 360 fps... will be cheaper then invest loads of money into a m16 from TM...

Spitfire, I know you are trying to be helpful, but many of your suggestions are too close to the general limits of power we use in Canada.
In general, AEG are set for a Maximum of 400fps almost anywhere. That speed is an upper limit, not a goal to reach. Some places allow more power, but normally that's about it. A standard speed that works well in most guns is about 340-360fps. It can be done with very little trouble and expenses. You can probably get parts and things in Switzerland that we cant because of our importation laws. That too changes what can happen here. So please keep that in mind? All you need for 340-360fps is a set of bushings, a spring, and experience to install it all. That's it. |

yep i understand...
but still, i think it will be cheaper to buy g&p... they have to much fps... so try g&g they have less... like this: http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper..._cat_GG%20AEGs 340-360 fps, just perfect wiehout any modification or experience... (could you please tell me the rulez for airsoftgunz in canada? i dunno them, and i dun want make truble...) |
