it's a good way to really kill the piston teeth.

Keep in mind that the RECOMMENDED battery by Tokyo Marui for their stock guns is 8.4v from 600mAh to 1300mAh. Most pros will not recommend more than 8.4v 1700mAh for a stock gun.

I have an ICS M4A1 RIS and i'm using a 9.6v 700mah and a 9.6v 1100mah,
Do i'm better to get a 8.4v battery or my stock M4 will be well with 9.6?

As far as I know stock ICS a Marui don't have same internals, maybe ICS ones work better with 9.6?

I think 9.6 should be fine as long as you shoot burst instead of spray and pray.

I think you should not try to out-think the engineers. When you're told the RECOMMENDED battery is 8.4 volts, stick with 8.4 volts.
If you're rich, or like to break things, then coming here to say your gun is dead, please ignore the advice given.

And unless you've personally taken guns apart and tried to fix what folks believed was a safe bet, please dont recommend anything?

If you tosse a 9.6V in a stock gun it will EATTTTTT the gears, the 8.4V is fine, 3000 is prefect also 8.4V 3000 will power an AK upgraded without a problem. Plus you wont have to modify your AK stock.

I use a 7.2 volt 3000mah battery in my stock Tm AK, works very well actually.
I will be ordering 2 more and making two 8.4V 3000mah batteries, one spare and one in the gun, I will also be using Steel bushings and an M120 spring, this is as far as I'd push any stock gun, who knows if I wont end up getting all upgraded components.

Using any 9.6V in a stock AEG is just asking for trouble, you must understand that there is a tremendous amount of pressure on the mexhbox as is, now if you add more voltage to the equation then the components wont be able to take the extra load and will slowly start giving out, first being all the weaker things like plastic or nylon bushings, and then teeth on the gears, then the motor and cylinder components.
An AEG is designed to cycle at a certain rate, the added voltageincreases the cycle rate meaning a faster RPM this will wear things out faster.
