TM G36c Upgrades

Hi All,

Okay, I already know what response this message will receive, but I'm going to post it anyway... I want to upgrade my TM G36c, but I'm not necesarily after higher FPS. Though I know that would increase the range some, I am more interested in having an acurate shot than an extremely far shot.

Having read, and re-read many posts and articles all over the internet, and the guides here on ACS, I've decided to replace the spring with a slightly stronger one, change the inner barrel to a tightbore, and add a silencer to cover the extended barrel.

Now, the question I have is what next? What manufacturer should I go with? And where should I get the parts from? Any reccomendations from anyone who has done it before with this gun have suggestions?

I have taken my gun apart a couple of times now to examine the internals, and so I'm fairly comfortable working inside it.

Good approach.

Check the pinned posts in this section and keep it simple. Get parts from a Retailer (they can suggest manufacturers).
Start with the spring (let's say an M100 or equivalent), and metal bushings. Add a bearing spring guide. Perhaps add a better piston kit.

Wait for the barrel / suppressor option, you may not need it.

The rest is experience with tweaking the hopup to match your ammo's weight.

Just going to a tightbore will provide you with a noticeable difference (tighter grouping, which extends your useable range a bit). A longer barrel isnt necessarily going to help you. e.g., a shorter (11.5" Commando-length) tightbore noticeably ougrouped/outranged a stock 14" (m4a1) length barrel in my M933 (converted from an M4A1) -- using the same mechbox, of course.

Plus extending the barrel into a suppressor sorta defeats the point of having a compact rifle (like the g36c)

I recommend the KM TN 6.04 inners.
