Anybody have tried this? *UPDATE*

I have a TM AUG civilian version....

I know a guy who makes RIS rails for the canadian army and he gave me two "not perfect" rail...(they are 0.001 inch too narrow....)

Anyways... the question is this.... do you think the outer barrel is hard enough to drill and tap holes in to screw this rail under it?.... I want something like the phantom kit, but keep the narrowness of the barrel...and of course keep my bank account in positives...

Just to know before I drill and tap holes, then strip-em and finally have a shity looking gun with holes all around...

*UPDATE*
I just tried it and it is far enought to hold the rail in place. I will post some pics soon for those who don't want the big phantom kit, but still need rails.... I think that G36 rails would work in place of what I used.
