MP5 Upgrade Plans: What do you think?

I would like my TM MP5 to be transformed into a BB hose that can compete with the wealth of m249 and m60's that I play with. I also need to get the gun shooting around 400fps at that speed. My budget is around $250. Here is the plan:

$125 Guarder SP120 Full Tune-Up Kit for TM M4-A1 Series
$60 Prometheus 407mm / 6.03mm EG Barrel for M4A1, SR16, SG551
$6 Guarder 50% Hop Up Bucking
$45 Classic Army Full Metal Reinforced Gear Box for MP5/M16/M4/G3
$50 10.8V 3300maH Battery

So what do you all think? I am going to use the M4 tightbore barrel to improve accuracy. I already have a silencer to fit it and I am going to extend the barrel all the way through it. The guarder 50% bucking should also help to keep the hop up consistant. I want some oppinions on the FTK I chose and also the reinforced mechbox. Are there better components at similar prices? I was going to try a systema full m120 mechbox, but then I heard I would probably have to get a guarder piston anyways. The Guarder FTK seems like a much better deal. I figured that the 10.8V battery would be more than enough for this spring and that the 3300maH would allow it some great rof. Is the battery too much? Would a 9.6V 3300maH be better? Is the CA Mechbox actually good enough to handle the fps and rof?

A 9.6v 2000+ mah NiCd battery will work best. NiCd turns over upgraded guns a lot better then NiMh.

A Hurricane FTK will work just as well for a hell of a lot less money.

The SP120 spring will put you into the 430 FPS range, So I'd highly suggest you dont get that. The SP100 kit will be safe @ 385-390fps, but SP110 will put you around 406fps.

Last bit, Mines bigger.

you trying to compensate for something there ;-) Also, will NiMh vs NiCd actually make that much of a difference? My friend just got the 10.8V battery I am talking about and it works very well. Oh yeah, and the reason I wanted to go with the Guarder FTK is that it also had steel gears. I have heard about so many problems with stripping gears, especially with a 10.8V battery, that I though this would be a good idea.

(P.S. Where do you even put the battery for that thing? In the silencer lol?)

That MP5K Project was for shits & giggles.

Battery went in a pouch on the pwd folding stock, So typical huh?

I havent used 10.8v's before, just 8.4v's & 9.6v's & I've never had any problems what so ever with gears stripping.

Also I do recall reading on the forum here that high voltage will only wear out your motor & other components quicker.

BTW your inner barrel you've chosen is top notch, I've never had any problems with them at all. Excellent accuracy & consistency.

You can also look at it like this regarding the gears, Setup the gun as is with a hurricane ftk, then replace the gears when & if they do wear out. Its a cheaper solution & leaves money left over to buy mags/ect.

Your info's outdated... I've seen 3300mAh-3800mAh NiMH batteries turn guns over MUCH faster than 2400mAh NiCads (the largest capacity NiCad you can buy) at the same voltages. There is zero reason to still be using NiCad.

Ok, so I guess the difference between NiCd and NiMh is negligible. Ill just buy the one that has the higher mAh. I am still a little curious about how the 10.8V 3300mAh vs the 9.6V 3300mAh would perform. I was under the impression that if you are anywhere over 400fps, a 10.8V would be needed to give more torque to the motor allowing it to compress the higher tension spring. Does anyone have personal experience with a 9.6V in a highly upgraded gun?

Also, would the reinformed mechbox still be needed or should I use the same theory on that as with the gears, dont fix it unless its broken? I was just worried that if the mechbox broke that it could damage my new components that I just put in there, and I didnt want to waste money that way by having to buy the FTK all over again. Will the reinforced mechbox be needed for this or should I just wait and see?

Ok, so I just tried out my friends 9.6V 2700mAh battery with the stock gun and spring. The rof was great. Its about exactly where I want it to be with the upgraded spring. My quesiton is, if it has this rof with the stock spring, the 400fps spring will slow it down quite a bit, correct? Anyone have personal experience using a 9.6V from stock to upgraded spring? Did the rof drop considerably. I feel that if this is the case I may have to go to the 10.8V
