I love my CA m15a4 CQB its solid and has crazy ROF and FPS out of box. TM has nothing on CA. Therefore I suggest either go with CA, ICS or G&P dont settle for anything less.

Aside from the plastic recievers on the armalites, TM is fantastic. |

I'm with stokes. Plastic pretty much everything on nearly every gun. They've never put out out a gun with any internal upgrades either. They don't include anything but the gun. It's actually considered a big deal if you get a rail here or there TM. I think that is lame.

Its funny, you really see the experience or age gap with the TM CA debate. For those of us around for Ver 1 and 2 CA M16 siries, we remember the horrors of having a DOA gun from the factory, and just being out cash, or having the thing crap out on you in the middle of a game. I beleive this was also true of the CA MP5 siries, however I can't comment on them.
The newer gen CA guns (Ever since Armalite took over the QC of the Armalite line) are much more reliable, and as such better value. This early experience with CA m4s however has scarred a lot of users, who now won't bother with anything but a TM, as we know they will fire, and they will always fire. I know I don't mind paying a bit more for an AEG if I know it has years of excellent service behind it, rather than risking $600+ on a brand that historically, has been shit. Edit - It should also be noted that "back in the day" was not all that long ago...

Well I can't comment on the barrel wobble but when I was in St Jean doing my BMQ, the C7's (old ones w/ fixed carrying handles) we used had lose pistol grips, stocks, and some with lose flash hiders. I know that you could probley just tighten them up but when we asked our instructors they just said to deal with it seeing as they're just our BMQ rifles. So it is possible to have lose parts on CF Rifles, but I doubt you'd have barrel wobble. |

this is what it all comes down to:
if you buy ca gp ics armalites you are willing to settle for whatever metal body and internal parts they give you. if you buy a marui, you put whatever parts you want on/in the gun without compromises. metal breaks too. just because its metal doesnt automatically mean its stronger. it only makes you think the gun is stronger. some of the metal used in airsoft is actually very brittle so while it may be less prone to warping and wiggling it may shatter on impact. take a look at this metal bodied m4 after a fall: this is only the upper you should see pics of the lower, its in even worse shape. |
