PGC Aluminium Silver slide.... for TM Hi-Capa
i've read that some slides are hard to install, and i've also read that some metal slide needs work and cut offs to make it fit....
has anyone intalled the PGC Aluminium Infinity Silver slide before, and can you tell me how hard it is..??i hope its not the hardest one.. also does anyone has any pics of a TM Hi-Capa intalled with a silver slide, i really wanna see how it will really look.....i can't imagine the top part of the Hi-Capa 5.1will be too silver with all the barrel and hammer already silver.. |

I personally have a PGC Springfield Operator Aluminum slide and it did take some work to get everything to fit. It wasn't the hardest thing to do but it took alot of tinkering to get everything to work perfectly. At least I can field strip my gun really quick now. One other guy on these boards that has a PGC slide is Jugglez. His Hi-Capa has the silver version of the Springfield slide which should be the same colour as the slide you're interested in. Images of his gun can be found here

I have a PGC Springfield Operator slide in black, and it took a good amount of tinkering and filing down of parts to get it to fit. I got it when it first came out, but since then, I installed a new one (same slide markings) on another Hi-Capa and the installation was flawless.
I have a Shooter's Design STI Eagle 5.1 Hybrid slide on another one of my Hi-Capas and that installation was flawless. The fit seemed to be a bit better than the PGC as well. |

hey ILLusion,
hows it going in Hong Kong did u have fun..my brother and sister in law had went back to hk too last week. Wish i could go back with you guys. Anyways, i've already bought the PGC Infinity silver slide....tough for me that why you were back in hk already so early..ASC's Carl and Miles are really good fellows and they're really helpful, just hope you will come back sooner in July so that i'll have two places to shop my goods. I've just bought the slide, valve, springs, and inner barrel from them, what other things might i still need that you can find in hk that we can't find here??? anymore good opinions, i'm looking for good power and good life lasting. |

There isn't anything else that you'd really "need". You already have the main components for a high powered and durable setup.
Sure, there are other parts available that will increase durability and power in other parts, but the chances of those original parts breaking on propane aren't too high, and velocity gains will be very minimal for the amount of money you'd pay. About the only other part I'd really recommend is an aftermarket stainless steel sear. I am currently using the Carom one in one of my Hi-Capas and the trigger pull is now extremely crisp. You can feel precisely the breaking point. After using that for a bit and then going back to my Hi-Capa with the stock sear, you can immediately notice a difference. The stock sear just feels "soft" in comparison. The Carom one is very expensive though, for such a small part. PDI has released one now as well, which I will be looking into and is cheaper. Also, most other parts available are mostly for cosmetics or for extreme high performance setups where every little difference matters such as in competition race guns. Personally, I put all those parts in, whether I need it or not... "just because." |
