KJW M9 remakes? (and mag issues)
So I've been scouring the net for a beretta and my decision has come down to the KJW M9 Elite (not the 1A). Apparently its supposed to be some new 2006 model or something?. It's flat black and NO accessory rail. Now I have seen two of them a clean smooth normal beretta slide with the serration only in the rear portion and also the brigadier slide (which has serrations on the forward and rear portion.) I just wanted to know which exactly is the "newer" version.
Also, I tried looking (may have skipped it while searching) but I wish to obtain the TM magazines as they should be better than the KJW magazines. Are they the same weight? I wouldn't want to sacrifice weight at all so this is an issue. I am aware that the TM magazines does not have enough of a reservoir to fire an entire magazine of green gas but I do not intend to use more than ~17 bbs in the magazine at a time (trying to keep it somewhat real guys). Are there anyother issues to bring up? Thanks in advance! |

Even though the magazines are cross compatible, I asked awhile back about getting TM mags for a KJW gun and was told to stick to KJW mags as they aernt identical and the TM mags dont fit as well. The TM mags are better in a TM gun, but not as good in a KJW gun, or so I've been told.

Thanks for the heads up Lutnit advice and point taken!
Now that that's been answered, anyone know anything about the first portions of my post? |

i believe that the "new version" designation might be for the adjustable hopup version that came out recently.

HFC M199 Special Edition
May I suggest looking into the HFC M199 Special Edition before making your final decision. I just got one my self and it seems rather nice. It is full metal and seems to be based on the elite railed in appearance which you should like. The gun is also heavily based on TM M92F series and takes most of the same parts including mags which seems to be something you are looking for. The best part is the gun has a selector for semi and full auto fire, can take propane just fine out of the box and will only run you 250 dollars.
The only real con I can think of for it is the lack of real steak markings, which for some may be a big deal. Here is a link to Anderson and Anderson, it is currently out of stock though. http://aasurplus.ca/airsoft/product_...roducts_id=156 Also a decent review of it by Bob the Angry Potato. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=26630 Get what ever gun you like, but I hope this helps a bit. |

I think I just got a remake of the standard KJ M9. I've owned other KJ M9s in the past and I can say that this one has a way nicer finish and a better weight to it. I wish there was a way to tell for sure.
