My upgrade sometimes not firing.

What went wrong?!?

SP160
Guarder Infinite gears
Deepfire Titanium Halftooth piston
stock TM piston head
Stock TM anti-reverse latch
9.6V 2400mah NiCad
EG700 motor.
Ver. 3 gearbox

Overheating of motor & its wires are unbearable.. probably that's the cuz of sometimes not firing.

As said in the other thread; your internals are so far above the factory recommended specs that things will break, or fail, often.

What you do is your choice.

its the motor that overheating, I had that issues before with one of my gun, putting a systema motor solved it.

Like they said at FAS. The problem is your battery and motor. 11.5 li-pol, 12vnicad and switch your motor to EG1K.

Can I still maintain my EG700 motor and use 12v 2400mah NiCD battery?

I don't care about the ROF, im thinking of making my game to last a whole day.

Gun and motor is designed for 8.4 volts. Anything more, or in your case a LOT more, means the parts wont last.

Mechanically, many things will break sooner or later. Electrically; motor, wires, fuse will overheat or fail. You can change the motor (more money), or change the spring to one that gives around 400fps. Then most of your problems will be resolved.

If you want a really powerful gun, you should go for a bolt action model.

Could be the spring (very difficult for a motor and gears to turn over, which will make the motor draw more current, therefore get hot as well as the wires) or could be the mechbox is shimmed too tight, or a combination of the two. The hot wires and motor means the motor is working extremely hard, won't take long for either your wires to go TU, or your motor. Even though the wires are teflon insulated, they are only 18AWG and can really only handle about 12-14A confined, and chances are you are drawing closer to 20A or higher. You risk your wires catching fire (is the only reason a fuse is put into the circuit) if yo udon't sort out what is more important, a lower spring and/or better shimming job, or a stockpile of fresh wires and motors waiting to be installed.
