Help with a KSC Glock!!?!!
hey guys i seem to be having some trouble with my airsoft pistol. this is the only gun i have and i just use it to screw around in my basement shooting targets but lately the nozzle (cone shaped thing that you can see through the shell ejector port?) it has been sticking in the inner barrel of the gun. it used to just zip back into place if i pulled on it or when it shot but now because its sticking for some reason all it does is fire a few shots and get weaker and weaker before it just sticks in place letting all the gas out of the mag. i looked in the bottom of the slide on the underside of that nozzle thing and it looks like there is a spring inside but it looks messed up. could that be the problem?
i have pics of the nozzle thing I'm talking about if you need me to post them it only goes back to about half way to its normal retracted spot. |

The nozzle return springs need to be replaced (part no.23).

that sounds rather simple, that would really be the only problem? because it looks like part number 25 (what does that do anyway?) is the one thats messed up, i'll take it apart today and see if the return springs you mentioned are ok. oh it also looks quite dry around the nozzle, would I have to oil that at all?

Put a few drops of silicon oil on a Q-tip and wipe it around the hop up rubber/inside of the breech where the nozzle goes in, and also wipe some on the nozzle itself. With the slide off and upside down, push the nozzle forward enough to expose the rubber ring on the inside, put a few drops of oil in there as well, then work it back & forth. That should fix most of your problems (always does for my two KSC G19s)

Going by your first post it sounded like the nozzle was sticking forward, usually caused by worn nozzle return springs. Stalker's lube advice is good too. If that doesn't help tear it down and check all springs and the floating valve (little torpedo that works with part no. 25). It might be broken which would explain the spring being all messed up. |

i havn't even used it that much its a pretty new gun thats why i'm so shocked its not working all that great. i have some silicon oil but i've also got what i think is called gun oil, its kinda brown in colour and is what i've always used for lubing a weapon. Would that 'gun oil' be fine to use too or should i try and stay away from that stuff?

It'll eat your rubber parts, keep it away from any airsoft gun. Even the red Crosman silicon oil can be bad. Use the RC Shock oil found at hobby shops, get either 10 or 15 weight.
Keep in mind that GBB tend to required a fair bit of maintainance as far as lube goes, even if it's lubed and not shot for three months, might need another mild lube job just because oil tends to absorb into the rubber parts. Oh, since I'm here, ALWAYS keep some gas in yoru mags, otherwise they will leak. And I mean some, full is fine, half is fine, as long as you can put some pressure on the release valve at the back of the mag and have it not push in. I've had to fix 3-4 of my mags because of this, one happened to be my mag for my KJW M700 sniper rifle. I went a few days with it empty and had no propane, by the time I got some propane and filled it, you could hear gas leaking out. And that was only a few days. Doesn't happen every time, but it will at some point if you aren't careful. |

i put the silicon oil on like you'd said and it really did help quite a bit, but at the end of the mag it seems to lose its punch and just lets the gas leak out still. i'm a little wiery of this but i'm not sure if its the gun or the mags?
now i took apart the gun so i could get a better look at part 25 because it did look twisted and removed part 26 to get better access at the spring i thought was messed up and another part came out that I didn't see at first what i'm guessing its part 24 but the diagram shows this extention thing coming out of it... mine is just a small plastic disk with a nub on it... not that whole part that looks like the back end of an arrow (bow and arrow kind of arrow). and part 27 wasn't in there at all... whats with that? http://www.wargameclub.com/gun-folder/g18c-install.htm Last edited by Hogtied; February 4th, 2007 at 19:14.. |

Dump a bunch (ok, 3-4 drops) of oil on top of part #78, and work it in. That part tends to get neglected and once it does, tends to not retract as it's supposed to, causing it to leak gas out of the mag. Well lube all parts in the area of the hammer and all the pins, then dry fire it a lot to work the oil in there. That should help.
