Guarder Aluminum Piston Head vs Guarder Polycarbonate Piston Head

I was thinking of getting the Aluminum Piston head for my C8/LMG Conversion.

I noticed almost all the pistons in the Guarder Cylinder Upgrade Kits are the Polycarbonate version instead of the Aluminum Version. Is there a reason for this? Im looking for the Pros and Cons of getting the Aluminum Piston head from guarder. Im using the Following

All Parts are NIB, nothing is worn or used yet.

Systema Progear Reinforced V2 Gearbox
Systema V2 Ball bearing Spring Guide (Because the Progear only fits systema Spring Guides)
Guarder SP90 Spring
Guarder SP100 Spring (most likely using this unless all my parts pushes my fps over 400)
Guarder Steel V2 Cylinder Head
Guarder Steel M4 Cylinder
Guarder Steel V2 Gears
Guarder Polycarbonate Piston

My goal is to up my gun to a 9.6-10.4v with 2500+ MA
The idea, is that i can strip my gun into stock, and use it as a C8 for CQB (Switching to SP90 for approx 350fps for safety reasons and field limits)
and I also want to be able to put my bipod + boxmag on and use it as an LMG. High ROF + Power is my goal. Any suggestions would be appreciated

poly is a flexible material so its easyer on the gears, while the aluminum while its a soft metal is not. So if you want your gears to last longer use a poly head, but im not sure if poly is good for your 400fps.

That much i know, but realistically, how much worse does the aluminum head do to wear and tear compared to the polycarbonate?

Aluminum = loud smack when it fires and is heavier so has more momentum leading to mechbox blowing

Polycarbonate = quieter but not as quiet as a silent piston set, lighter and absorbs shock better (instead of transmitting/reflecting it) so it easier on your mechbox shell

Aluminum piston and/or piston head + ver.2 mechbox = really bad (reinforced or not, doesn't matter)

Don't know about Guarder springs, but if the SP90 is similar to a Prometheus MS90 then it will give you around 300fps in an M4 length gun, an MS100 gives around 320-330fps in the same gun. Gotta get to MS120 before you hit 400fps in an M4 length inner barrel.

Also why 9.6-10.8V with 2500+ mAh? 10.8V can be touch and go because it pushes your rate of fire too high. Stick with 9.6V and just get the highest mAh rated cells you can find. Elite makes 4500mAh subC cells.

Guarder SP90 pushes around 340fps, SP100 is approx 386 fps
Thanks, i think ill get the polycarbonate. I was thinkg 10.8 because it seems that thats what the AN/PEQ batts sit at. I have a full stock, but i cant seem to find a 9.6 that fits inside without me having to remove the butt end of the stock to get the battery. I have a battery flap on the back, i was hoping to be able to use it still.

the aluminum piston head gives you more consistency as well as a very unique sounding gun, also harder on the gearbox shell. even polycarbonate deforms a tiny bit from that air pressure so the consistency isnt as accurate
and i see your using guarder gears, let us know if they strip, they're known for poor quality in manitoba, usually 2 or 3 shots and they're gone.
