Alot!! It would be cheaper, easier and faster for you to get the complete mechbox from Systema. But M150-range, likely nobody would want to play with you, or let you use it on anyone else. Stick to the M120 mechbox, or reduce your spring rating to 120m/s range.

with a heavy spring you should need a set of high torque gears, Reinforced mechbox shell, 9.6v batt, steel spring guide. all these are fairly cheap, keep in mind that i would say that these upgrades would be " bare minimum " to keep it from falling apart.
I just recently bought a reinforced mechbox shell from airsoftparts.com for 43 dollars after tax and shipping, a spring guide would be 15 dollars, high torque gears will run you about 20-40 dollars. you see them on the forums alot, illusion has a wide variety, and a 9.6v batt should be around 65. oh and steel bushings too but they are only like 12 bucks.

Either the spring broke in, it was bad, or a bad air seal.

I would teflon tape the cylinder head. When I did this I wrapped so that half of the tape width would be seen when the head is installed in the cylinder. Once its in, move the visible tape over the cylinders lip. There should tape on either side of the cylinder. I also taped of my hopup. I put a few rotations on the side that is furthest from the MB. Check you o-ring on your piston head. You also might have damaged your piston head. I lost about 30FPS on a M120 spring when a chunk of my TM piston head fell out.
If your compression is fine see if one of your buddies has the same or similar spring and compare the difficulty of compressing them. I had a friend that got ~440FPS on a m100 equivalent before it dropped to ~250FPS. I would consider this very rare but its still a possibility. good luck mateba |

Just know that a reinforced Version 2 mechbox just takes longer to break than the stock mechbox. Reinforced means reinforced, it doesn't mean it WON'T break. Case in point, with my weaker end PDI 150% spring (350fps), it took two months to break my stock TM mechbox. Replaced it with a highly recommended Hurricane reinforced mechbox, not even two years later I've got cracks along the typical V2 breakline.
Nutshell, a 150SP spring will bust a reinforced V2 mechbox in less than 5000 rounds (you'd be damned lucky to get 1000 rounds though it). |
