just use a proper role pin punch, and like was said before support the back, and hit her out. if it breaks, nothing a little bit of tig welding cant fix.

I've seen enough broken metal receivers from attempted trigger guard removals. I've done it a couple of times as well. Just go slowly and use a proper sized punch. As soon as it pops out the end a little bit, pinch it with a pair of pliers and yank that bitch out.

Man, not to blast anyone, but I really have to question one's work ethics if they manage to break a receiver while removing a roll pin. That's about the same level as fucked up on barrels because people failed to undo the set screw on the flash hider and decided excessive force was the way to go when it wouldn't come off.

That's the messed up thing: of the two receivers I broke from replacing a trigger guard were from very light taps. There could have been a moulding flaw in the design, as I've been able to remove the pin with more force and more hits in other instances.

In any case, I've found that once a roll pin is installed on a metal receiver, they're generally there for good. It comes off plastic receivers easily, but it's a different story for metal.
