MP5KA3 PDW - Upgraded - 380FPS!

To start this gun started off as a normal TM MP5K, then things went way over board. I lost track of how much was actually spent on this MP5K.

Last time checked she was shooting 380 FPS on .2
To top it off, she weighs in at 4.5lbs (with mag and battery in)

Enjoy

Sorry for the bad photos also, I'm not pro at taking pictures

Quote:
-TM MP5K
-PDW stock
-9.6v Battery, housed in the PDW stock
-EG1000
-G3 SAS inner barrel (I'm pretty sure that's where the inner barrel came from)
-CA MP5K A3 Grip
-CA Metal body
-Spring-Bushings and all that good stuff

It looks great with the RIS front end. It looks like a regular run-of-the-mill MP5K-PDW without it. I'd keep it on and just stick one of those butt plug-style vertical grips (I still don't know if they have an actual name...) on it to compensate for the loss of the integral one on the K foregrip.

In any case, I like it! I've never been a fan of the old "SEF" receivers, but it's still sweet.

Wow, really nice! You just have to love the mobility that the K's provide in CQB situations.

I don't, I just pop the front off and charge it up there because it's such a pain to pull the battery out and put it back in.

I've yet to actually find one shot enough that'd suit the mp5k to be honest, the rail on that front mount is already low, then the vert grips attaching thingy will put it down even more.. I've only seen 1 photo of a mp5k with a vert grip on it and it looked like it was in the way of the mag.

a pleasure to work on this gun, it's great to see so much trouble to make a plain-esque gun that's WAY nicer than stock and very convincing. throw that plastic mini s.i.r. in the garbage :P the oldschool HK look is wicked.

I have an MP5K PDW and I basically did the same thing, minus the metal body (maybe later.. hehe). I got an MP5A4 (229mm tightbore vs. 141mm makes a difference) inner barrel with a silencer, but no 9.6v battery for me. I think it looks awesome with the RAS, but that makes it doubly a pain in the ass to change or even charge the battery. I didn't know you could get a PDW stock with a battery in it...

I ended up getting a claw mount so I wouldn't have to remove my sight, then the RAS as well to remove the battery, but if I had stuck with the RAS, I would have gotten an MP7 style folding foregrip like this one.

Nice MP5K btw
