AK47 Wood Buttstock
Hey guys,
I was wondering if the wood buttstock have a place for the battery like the plastic receivers or if they are like full wood construction and you personally need to modify them. Also does anyone know where one can get just the buttstock? Because for my m70 project all i need is the front grip and the buttstock made out of wood. However the front grip needs the special 3 cooling holes. And to my knowledge no company makes the specific three holed ones, but am willing to be proved wrong . |

Airsoft wood stocks for AKs are hollow inside to hold large batteries. But you CAN use a stick battery and a full stock that's solid inside.
I doubt you'd be able to find a separate airsoft AK buttstock, I think the wood ones come as a set, always. The M70 buttstock I believe is the 47 type (not the AKM and so on type with the different angle), but slightly larger, or at least looks that way to me. I don't think any company makes the Yugo front grip for airsoft. I suggest modifying real steel parts. Buttstock too.

I used a dremme but mostly two long files, one round and another about 3/4" wide. I did a G3 stock but since you dont have any mounts or holes in your stock you should be able to have a nice looking stock for a large battery without much trouble. If you are careful it might take you more 5 hours. The only trick spot might be where the stock end cap connects and where the stock connects to the gun. FYI, you should be able to fit at least a 10.8v if you wanted and used a custom battery.
Good luck. |
