Make metal look wood?

I've bought a new gun with steel pistol grip frame and plate, which the plate was suppose to be wood on real steel. Is there a way to make the steel part look like wood?

This is the RS grip:

do the plates come off yours? If so, you could try making some wood one.

Is there supposed to be a front handguard on that RS? cause that doesn't look like it offers much protection from heat.

The RS version grips were plastic i thought. just paint the ones that you have now with krylon or something.

More like some German take on Bakelite from what I recall from the museum.

Still though if you can't come to "GRIPS" with this PM me, I have an AEG removal service that's quite reasonable.

Mac-Tack!

Could be a type of plastic/fiberglass/phenolic too, or a very hard wood that will feel like metal.

That doesn't look like an airsoft gun to me. Very sexy beast you got, love that gun.

Mp44 awsome.

If you have the time and intermediate knowledge of carpentry you could make new grips out of wood. That would look much better than painting the current ones.

If you do paint it right you can make it look pretty good. Check out Tony Stewarts hearse the painter paints some badass wood panels on the caddy.

If you go to uniqueautosports.com you can see some better pics.

Mp44 prototype pic's I saw the grips are NON-removeable. So I would bet that the production one is the same and that is why you are asking. I think the only choice is paint.

Thanks Stalker! i'l show my weathered collections when i got a chance, they all looks pretty authentic since most my guns are WWII style constructed from steel/wood.opcorn:
