Well type96 / spring question...
I'll receive a Well type 96 ( Maruzen clone ) soon...I'll upgrade it with a PDI hopup chamber, a KM RH75 and a Madbull 509mm/6.03 barrel...
I just want to know, if I put a PDI 1.8j spring ( 440fps I think ), do you think I'll bust the 450fps limit ? Should I go with a PDI 1.5j ( 400fps I think ) instead ?...Do you recommend another spring ?... And what is the diametre of the spring ?...11mm/8mm or 13mm/11mm ? I'm freaking lost with my non V2 mechanical system ... Thk, Per |

Okay you have two options.
1. I recommend PSS2 springs, the 130SP with that length inner should put you close to 450 with out crossing over, in my APSIISV it chronied 458 with that spring, but it had a 550mm inner barrel, with the 509 you should come down below the 450 mark. 2. What I'd really recommend is looking at a new piston and spring guide. I recommend the Laylax PSS96 7mm/9mm reinforced guide. With this you can swap from AEG to Sniper rifle springs. http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=23076 Of course, because you get the AEG springs, need a different piston and right now I recommend the King Arms reinforced piston. http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=23429 However the best one is the "First Factory 3-Element NEO Piston" but its very hard to find now that First Factory has stopped production of that particular unit.

Erase from your mind that PDI makes springs. Period. I had a cut down 300% PDI spring, went from over 600fps to 500fps, maybe a bit under, and within a couple hundred rounds damn near killed my CA M24. (literally it hit the hop up unit so hard that it rammed forward a good inch and tore the hop up unit securing screw from it's retraining point in the outer barrel.)
Go with First Factory/Laylax springs, easier cocking and constistant output. Focus on getting a 130 spring, should give you roughly 430fps, bearing spring guide (7mm) and tightbore would put you close to the 450fps mark. |

Thk for the answers guys...
Now, do I need a new spring guide (7mm) like this one or the stock one will do the job ? http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=19702 |
