Kraken AK 47 airnozzle issue

Hi,

Newbie toying with his AK.

I changed the Hop Up unit of a Kraken Ak for a alum pro win one.
Mechbox was fully overhauled by Stalker.
Assembled the whole thing back on. With a Promotheus SP100. 215 fps with 0.25 bb and no hop up. A bit low I would say. So, remember Stalker mentionning that to verify your airseal, run on full, stop and do so until the airnozzle is fully extended. Then, put a flashlight were the feeding hole is and look in the other end of the barrel. No light = good seal. Light = bad seal.

From this picture, you can see that it would appear that my airnozzle is not ling enuff to do a complete seal. I m a right, is this the problem? Should I change the airnozzle (for a longer one)? It a AK 47 airnozzle got on ehobby.

Thanks,

Bong

Well, you have to cycle the mechbox on full auto until you see the nozzle as far forward as it can go. Then you disconnect the battery, shine the light into the loading nozzle and look into the MUZZLE (where the BBs come out to get kills) and see if there is any light coming into the barrel through the hop up at all. If so, good chance it's either you didn't cycle it well enough to get it full forward, or there is a definite airleak in the seal. If the hop up C clip that holds the hop up unit and the inner barrel together is cracked or weak, then the inner will nudge forward when firing making the airleak bigger.

It's not entirely impossible that the seal nozzle came off the tappet plate. Iv'e had it happen to me once with a stock Kraken tappet plate. If it seems to be moving properly then it's probably seated correctly and you can just ignore me.
