internal upgrades TM P90tr

I’m looking to change up the internals of my p90. I’m thinking about 390 FPS or somewhere in that range. For this gun is it possible? I’m new to doing internals, and I was wondering if the mini 1100mah battery could even crank that, if not could the 1400mah mini do it? Now given that we are talking P90 I am under the understanding that given the nature of the really sturdy gear box this should not be a problem having a 170% spring, the only thing I was wondering was the implications of the heavier spring and design of the box. I’ve been told that I may lose my single shot capability and it will burst fire instead, anyone heard of this? Just wondering if there is anyone out there with a p90 with internals in that sort of region of power and what the implications are?

Yes, it's possible. You'll definitely want to get a 1400mah mini for it, though. I doubt the 1100mah mini would crank a MS120 or even a MS110, much less well. I've tried 1200mah with a MS110 and the ROF was quite low.

You should not lose your single shot capability. The spring has nothing to do with semi and auto availability.

Just remembered, ELITE makes 1500mah mini cells, if you're looking for the most powerful mini possible.

Not a Canadian site though. It's in the US, I got 2x 1500 mAh 8.4v mini packs from there and they work great, very professionally made packs.

The elite 1500s are not a significat edge over the 1400s.

However, I can have 1600s, (real 1600s) from my work place.

They are made by Venom Group. (www.venom-group.com)

For some reason they don't show on their website... part number VEN-1504 for the 5 cells pack, and they have 6-7-8 cells and loose cells avalaible.

this day keeps getting better lol. I feel like Im missing a piece of life haveing an 1100. so these 1600s from your work, they pack straight into the p90 without modification? a 1600 should definatly handle a heavyier spring like I want to get pretty well.

Definitely possible. For an upgrade that heavy, I'd highly recommend the Systema P90 Professional FTK set. It comes with the Systema M120S which should actually probably put you to around 425fps. You can swap the spring to a Prometheus MS110SP to get it down to under 400fps. Combine it with a tightbore inner barrel and you're set.

The silencer that comes with the TR should cover up to an AK length inner barrel, but if you go with a barrel that long, you'll have to swap the cylinder to an AK length one. Or if you don't want to swap the cylinder, you can go up to a 363mm M4 length inner barrel.

With the Systema FTK, the Torque up gears it comes up with will allow a mini battery to crank a spring that heavy, although the ROF will be slightly retarded. If you want to maintain the ROF, I'd recommend the J-battery modification and go up to 9.6v 1500mAh. If you don't have an urge to cut up any of the internals, then an 8.4v 1400mAh nimh mini battery should be sufficient to run your gun.

You also won't lose single shot capability. Whoever told you that doesn't know how to upgrade version 6 gearboxes.

I've pushed my P90 to 465fps. I know it can be done.

That is awsome. thanx for that. my major concern was reliability and losing single shot. when I change this gun up I will be doing a comprehensive job, everything will get changed in it. I like the idea of not having to modify for the J battery, and I really like the idea of above 400fps. I was actually looking on redwolf, and I noticed they have an extended barrel from the PS90, so that is even a thought. initially I wanted up in the 425 region, but I was afraid the motor and battery couldnt crank it. I plan to make my p 90 nasty lol and this advice you have given me gets me in that range for sure. If i was to put the FPS in at around max 425ish would you say that the ROF will really suffer?

I think it's worth noting that public games in Ontario generally cap AEGs at 400fps with 0.20g BBs.

It will suffer enough to notice it, but it shouldn't affect playability much.
