Using a BE AEG in a game

hey guys - I just wanted opinions on this.

I have the opportunity to use a BE Aug to get a feel for airsoft. Now, I know the BE's are on the crappy end of the spectrum; my question is, even knowing full-well that the aeg is junk, will it actually be remotely competitive or will I only end up entirely frustrated?

It's just - I can use this aeg now and get into a game a.s.a.p. or wait a few weeks to find a jg/echo1 (I'll be meeting /w the georgetown age verifier this week :fingerscrossed that I know will perform.

It's the age old problem of "but I want it noooooooowwww!"

If you already have it available, why the hell not, go to a game.

If you haven't bought anything yet, wait and buy something decent like a JG/Echo1 or TM/CA if you have more money.

I'd say use what you have man. Yes its not the best gun ever but it works. i would totally reccomend starting out with something like that. When i started, i too used 'bottom of the barrel' AEG's. but they got me to where i am today.
Once you get familiar to the sport then step it up to the next level, go with a JG or if you feel even more adventerous a TM.
Learn what you can with what you got and evolve from there, good luck.

i found that out the hardway myself buying a be aeg as my first electric gun thinkin that well its not as good and didnt think it would break. but they do and will break, and for no good reason too. they just are dicks like that. they suddenly stop working for no reason. though for me i find the body of a be to be way better quality than whats on the inside. i dont mind having a plastic gun as long as its what i want and it shoots well. i bought my be sl-8 and i have tried buying a ca g36 gearbox to put in it but i have not received it yet. but still i can buy the gun and lose the gearbox and buy a good one for way cheaper than the star sl-8. but im down in the states so i dont really know what to say about things up there for you guys anymore.
the price differences on our airsoft stuff is so drastically different.
i really would reccomend that if you really want it now and wanna get into the shit asap then do whatever it takes to get your echo 1 as soon as you can

i really dont understand why with our technology today why we cant make an electric gearbox that doesnt break even if its plastic. it just simply works one minute and you reload the clip and wtf? it doesnt work period now. i dunno how these businesses even stay in business. id almost think theyd get shut down for all their products failing. i mean look at firestone tires and shit like that. that stuff failed and its gone now. i think that if they could make the insides as good as the bodies they put the parts in then youd have yourself a pretty decent and durable starter gun.

be does make sl8's and g36's with metal gearboxes that i know of. probly still crappy gearboxes but they gotta be a lot better than the plastic ones. the only gun ive had that has a plastic gearbox and hasnt crapped out for no reason is my well p90. ive had it for a few months shooting walmart .12g bbs out of it and it still works but about the only thing you can use it for is a close range pistol which it is a little too big for

Give it a try. High end guns are great but not necessary. Low end gun might break faster but you will still know what playing a game feels like. With a bit of common sense you can still hit people even with low FPS gun.

p.s. its the human not the gun that kills ppl...
