potential complications of buying airsoft online WITHIN canada
Hello everyone, and kudos to the forum.
I appologize if this is a redundant post; if so i'd be grateful if someone pointed me in the right direction. Ever since i bought a Marksman repeater (hey no laughing) from Canadian tire, i've been interested in purchasing a more realistic airgun. However, I've read a fair bit (for example HonestJohn's post on this forum) about the legal disputes of airsoft in canada. THings like, no airsoft is not legal to sell, yes its legal to own and use, no you can't import, etc. From what i hear, 007 airsoft is a reliable retailer (albeit expensive), and i'm impressed with their selection. The gun that i'm looking at is a replica AEG, but i'm very hesitant to buy any airsoft online for fear of getting nailed by law enforcement. If there is anyone on this forum who has bought from 007 airsoft, i'm wondering (1) are they legit (2) are orders from within canada (specifically 007) somehow screened by law enforcement (3) what's the worst case scenario (4) has anyone had legal problems ordering from within canada? Many thanks, -Sam. |

Hey man, in short, here you go:
1) yes they are legit. Many people buy from them and the store owner is a very nice guy. 2) Orders within Canada are not screened as to my knowledge because airsoft is legal to own, operate and play. Airsoft WOULD be screened if you order it from outside of Cananda 3/4) Check out my review of 007 airsoft and you will see the worst case scenario and the problems i have encountered (scroll to the very bottom). |

If you're under 18, then forget about it, because you can't buy an airsoft gun.
If you are 18 or older, check out the thread on age-verification. Once you get age-verified, you'll have access to the forum Buy & Sell area you'll have the option of accquiring a gun a MUCH cheaper prices than 007. Yes, they're still expensive (at least double) the price you see on foreign airsoft sites, but still considerably cheaper than 007 prices. You can get new, used, and sometimes some really nicely upgraded guns with extra accessories for cheaper than buying the stock gun new. And 007's in-stock selection sucks. All that he has in stock is what's listed on the in-stock page (currently he has a stock of 15 guns in 8 - providing his site is accurate. Sometimes he doesn't update it for MONTHS on end...). Anything else you buy is a preorder. They require you to pre-pay orders, and sometimes, said orders can take month and months to arrive, providing they don't get seized by customs. Then you end up losing your hard-earned money.
