Some people use sharpies to "colour" it.

As far as painting, you can get warhammer paints (or other model paints because warhammer paint is like $4 for a small bottle) and paint it like that.

The best option though would probably be if you have an extra spraypaint can lying around is paint it using that.

If your careful using paint remover or even nail polish remover. Nail polish remover is potent but still does the trick, it just takes long. For myself since i work in a body shop i use gun wash with a Q-Tip and lightly rub it off. If you over do it, you can damage the material of the gun.

I've just used some warhammer chaos black to paint off the tips of two AEGs and one GBB, the colour when it drys is pretty similar to the matte black on the guns. A little off for my GBB but it works, but easily chipped so be careful and you'd probably need to repaint it once in a while. It's only a temporary fix if anything.

Might be a little off topic but my KJW P226 has an extended outer barrel that sticks out pass the slide, anyone else have this on their gun? I"m thinking about sawing off the tip and then sanding it down to match the slide. that little bit bothers me so much lol

Black spray paint. It's what I used and it's still black and that was probably 4 years ago.

If you know someone with an airbrush set, borrow that. It's actually quite nice for small detailed work. You might need to do a few coats with the air brush though.
