You know what sucks? The battery storage.. boo hoo. I want to get a mod for that, i don't even think a stick battery will fit in my RAS.

That's true in all cases except the MP5 and variants. On the real steel, the serial number is on the upper receiver, and that's the prohibited part. Same for airsoft. You can import MP5 lower receivers, but not uppers.

Well JG threw in this front grip for the battery storage. Only fits 8.4v small type. I think it's ugly with the front grip.
Had to throw an offer away for this M910 front grip light just because of the battery storage.

Maybe those Laser/light battery boxes would be cool, but too big on the Mp5.

Anyone know if the cocking tube that the OP posted will fit on a UTG?

or will this G&G Metal Cocking Tube For MP5A4/A5 work?(G&G G-02-021)

Ok, here's the scoop on this thing...

I bought a used metal CA MP5 front end. It fits on my JG. However, the front end I got, I suspect came from an MP5 that had a full stock. The front-battery models allow you to clip the fuse holder to the underside of the unit, whereas the one I got doesn't allow that. I had to remove the fuse to fit it. However, the one in the original post looks like it has the space for a fuse.

Second issue is that the internals of the JG cocking tube don't fit the internals of the CA. You can install the 'bolt'. but the inner plastic guide won't fit. And the first time I tested the cocking handle and released it, the impact of metal on metal caused the cocking handle to break and go flying across the room.

It fits, looks good, and feels great. But be aware that ideally, you'll need new internal guts for the cocking tube as well.

And to me it appears that one UNC (http://www.uncompany.com/images/g&g-g-02-021_big.jpg) is an MP5K cocking tube, although I could be wrong. If it is, then it won't work out too well on a full-length MP5.

I'm using a full stock so space upfront for the battery is not an issue.

I'll have to take mine apart and see how it all is and see. Worse case, can I completely replace the front end with metal and corresponding internals?

If you get aftermarket internals for the cocking tube, then it should fit without a problem.
