VFC SCAR Internals

A question for those of you who have opened the gearbox.
What parts in there are good, and which are junk?

I know the term "good" is a matter of opinion, so lets comapre them to prometheus / systema parts.

also, any word on the air nozzle and whether or not its a standard M4 nozzle? Ive read its a bit longer

all comments are appreciated.

I tried to open the internal, but I don't have the hex needed for the ambi-selecter that needs to be removed before opening the mechbox, from what I read its standard stuff, defintly lower quality than whay you want to compare with but still solid to run stock. once I get the tools I need I'm just going to replace the plastic 7mm bushing (thats what I think they use have to check again) with metal and maybe metal cylinder head with those suobro stuff.

I don't have anything to compaire the nozzle to even if I get it appart, so I'm no good on that area, the most I can do is give a measurement. If anyone know this please add in some input.

I believe this was on another thread, and there were no conclusive answer given.

ok, for anyone who has the hex needed to open it up..

how do you get those damn things off! I got the hex screws out, but the pieces arnt budging!

Edit: Got it

they actually put some solder on the top of each point so you dont see that its removable! wow...
the stuff chipped off easily with a screw driver, a few taps from the hammer and the pin came out.

for reference to all others: the side Opposite of the selector plate, is the side of the rod that i tapped to have it come out. it required very little force. Tapping from the otherside got me no where.

confirmed:
VFC air nozzle is propietary
VFC tappet plate is propietary!

the gearbox , internally, is the same as a V2 gearbox. Externally, its a bit different, but it appears as though you COULD swap the VFC gearbox for a reinforced systema box so long as you swap the tappet plate & air nozzle.

the VFC gears have 4 anti reversal latch points! not bad. theyre also 'self shimming'. Springs.. blah. prefer normal shims..

Will be posting pictures tonight or tomorrow of the propietary parts and standard parts side by side!
