V3 cover plate/retaining strap
hey there guys, just took my mechbox out of my JG g36 for the first time, following all the steps on Mechbox.com, got the motor off, then ran into a hitch. the strap i need to pry off wont move. It is pressed firmly against the black part behind it (sorry i don't know the name of this piece) I have tried adding a little lube, pulling from the sides and searching for this issue already...anyone have an idea of how to get it off??

By "strap" I assume you mean the stopper rail... it's REALLY hard to get them off, although I use a screw driver to slide it down.

Hammer and a flat-blade screwdriver to start it, and once you're past that notch, you should be good.

Shouldn't make a difference.Give it a good whack - it's steel.

Have you tried sliding off the rail before removing any screws?

If you can make the FR game this Saturday, I'll take a look at it for you in person.

well i got it all apart, after replacing bushings and shimming i noticed two mystery springs...unlike the demonstration on mechbox.com, my trigger assembly fell apart...I'm guessing thats what they're from, I can take a photo if you need me to,
one looks s bit like the spring on the tappet plate, and the other looks a bit like a slightly larger aiti-reversal latch spring... anyone have any ideas? thanks again- Ben
