UHC Beretta

Hi there, I'm new to airsoft and to these forums. I bought a used UHC Beretta off a friend a few days ago and had a quick question about it. There are two small pieces which belong on the body, below the slide. These two pieces seem to be damaged, and don't stay on the gun properly (leaving two holes open below the slide) The gun seems to shoot fine- I shot about a hundred BB's through it yesterday without any problems. I'm just wondering if I should worry about these pieces at all- what are they supposed to be for, and should I try to replace them/fix them?

Thanks alot

Uh. That's the pin that holds the slide on. That gun must be a springer? Cause if it was a gas gun, the slide would have fallen off when that piece came off. Springer slides don't come off like normal gas guns, I'm pretty sure.

Correction : CHEAP Springer slides don't come off like normal gas guns.

If it works, use it. If it doesn't, throw it out.

WRONG. Ok leave this post to me, as I OWN this exact airsoft spring pistol and have it right in front of me to give info with.

Yes, those parts are important. This springer, altho cheap priced, will project the slide off the frame if you fire it without those parts. You risk damaging the frame, slide and internal components, two parts in parcticular, the retaining piece on the back of the main spring & the part the spring compresses into.

Tho not to say, this isn't a tough pistol. I've had mine for......4 years now, at least 8000 rounds through it, not a single mechanical failure.

Only failures with the gun have from being well used on the field. Rear of the slide on the lower right part that keeps the slide lined up on the frame, and the outer barrel. (Refer to attachments. Last picture is what the parts you are referring to, this is the condition they were in before they broke.)

If you have any other questions in regards to this pistol, feel free to private message me. An before you ask, NO, I'm not looking to part with my bits from this gun, or sell it as a whole.

SMALL PARTS

i HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I SEEM TO REMEMBER RE-ATTACHING THES PARTS WITH SMALL SCREWS AND NAILS (AS SUPPORT PINS),

THE PART ON THE LEFT SIDE WAS FASTENED WITH A VERY PETITE (SMALL) SCREW.
