Classic Army M15 modding

I have two CA armiltes an M15A4 and an M15VN, I would like to upgade both of them to shoot .25 BB's in the vaciniaty of 360-370ish Fps. (I think an M120 spring is the right thing I'm looking for, I very well could be wrong)

I also Plan to add new hop up systems for both of them, I would like to know what works best for CA.

cheers,

360-370ish on 0.25g is pretty close to 400fps. Upgrading isn't always that precise at producing the desirable result, but I'll give it a shot.

On the VN, I'd recommend a Modify 100. With the VN length barrel, both bearing spring guide and piston head, you'll likely be getting almost 400fps.

I don't know what length the M15A4 is. If it's got the same barrel length as the VN, go with the same approach. If it's got the 363mm barrel, increase the spring to the Modify 110.

For hopup, I'd recommend Prometheus purple sleeve set. Some people have said good things about the KA hopup chamber, so I'd consider that.

I'd suggest dumping the CA bushings and replacing them with something better. The CA solid metal bushings are a soft alloy (NOT steel) and warp over time. The CA bearing bushings are even worse - the bearing race is prine to failure, and when they go, they take the gears and piston with them.

Upgrade to a quality bushing, like Prometheus, Guarder stainless steel, or Systema.

I can't speak for the KA hopup chamber, but the Guarder chamber worked wonders in my multiple M15A4's over the years. I found i could reach up to about a 10 FPS increase over the stock metal CA hop-up chamber.

Throw in a tightbore inner barrel if you can - I'm not a fan of the stock CA barrels. I'd go with a KM TN or Systema 6.04mm. Both have performed very well with my M15A4's and have added about 10 FPS as well.

I'd stick with compression tweaks and such to reach the 360ish FPS with .25g goal. I really don't like what happens to V2's with powerful spring upgrades...

I've used it in a G36.

I have a Prometheus MS110SP spring and a 6.03mm tightbore, and my M15 shoots at about 385 with .2s.
