Scout rifle.
Hi i was wondering if anyone knew if there is an Airsoft version of the Steyr Scout or somethin similar with a forward scope mount on a bolt action rifle? Ive done a little searching and havent found anything so im assuming there isnt but i though id ask just in case.
I know the M1A socom 16 has a forward rail mount and i may have to end up using that for my scout project but I'd prefer a bolt action for it. Thanks Retro |

i know that if you get a Kar98k, i know how you can replace the rear leaf sight with a 20mm picatinny(sp?) rail. Even though its a rear sight, it is still located in the middle of the gun in case you are wondering.

I've been told that the APS2 EX version looks a lot like a STEYR BA, but I'm not too sure on how closely it resembles the Scout version.

Thanks for the ideas guys, ill have to take a look into some of those.
For those that dont know what the scout looks like http://remtek.com/arms/steyr/scout/scout.htm http://www.donath.org/Defense/Guns/S...ut/MyScout.jpg That bi-pod actualy folds up and is a part of the fore grip, and on the bottom of the stock at the back there is a spot for an extra 5 rnd magazine. The Unloaded weight is 6.6lbs and just short of 8lbs with a scope and 2 magazines. |

Considering it's a counter-strike gun I'm really surprised no airsoft company has made one yet... lol
All the 13 year olds would go crazy for it. |

Maybe because it's so ugly. Only it's name is cool.

Really? I like it!
The reason no one's made one yet is because the kids can't one shot anyone with it like they can with the AWP. damn AWP-whores... At least they aren't using autosnipes.

Haha yea i first saw it in CS, but i fell in love with it when i actualy got to handle one and throw a few rounds through one. Very nice RS rifles, but also expensive. I love the look of the rifle also, the whole concept of it really. But i have to say if i was gonna drop 2k+ on a RS rifle id have to go with a M1a in a J Allen Enterprise stock.
Lets face it also, no one in CS uses the scout its not 1337 enough. Doesnt have the magical oneshotkillanywherehax. I never really got why people hated the auto snipe so much though, there are a lot of people that can drop you faster with an AK, aug, 552 or m4 at the same ranges. Because a lot more people can drop you faster with an autosnipe. I got 5 headshots in about 6 or 7 seconds off a group of guys coming through an open doorway once. The recoil effect is a joke if you're used to taking long ranged shots with the AK or AUG.

There is a second rail behind the ejection port so you can mount the scope in a more traditional style if you choose.
