G36 Retaining Button

I was looking at mechbox.com and noticed to put back the "lower receiver retaining button". I noticed that I do not own one lol. Is this piece essential to the gun and will it interfere with bb feeding, hop up etc in any way shape or form?

What's the point of the spring on an M4 bolt release?

Probably the same reason, just because or for look and feel.

well I've got a pile of parts on the way (mostly K parts). Which would go great with that sniper stock (great choice by the way). so i will play around mixing and matching parts and if i put something awesome together ill send you some pics.
