ca m4 has no auto fire.

so a while back i finally got my new mechbox, (one of huangs) and installed it into my cam15a4.

iv worked out a lot of small bugs here and there, but i still cant get it to shoot in auto.
the selector switch is a little sluggish to move, and it doesnt always work in semi. when placed on auto, it shoots fine in semi, but no full auto fire.
obviously it must have something to do with the position the mechbox is in, what i dont understand, is how to center it or whatever properly.
iv spent hours tightening and loosening the placement screw on the rear of the receiver, (where the buffer tube mounts to) but i cant get it. any suggestions?

#1 try and make the selcetor switch tighter.
#2 on your gearbox, with your finger, slide the selector plate so that when u press the trigger it does not move (on safe).
#3 put the selctor sitch on the gun body on safe.
#4 now that the gearbox and the body are on safe gently slide in the gearbox making sure that the selctor plate does not move out of place.
#5 put the middle retainin pin in alonf with the back body pin.
#6 test it out.

this worked, for auto,. but now my semi is screwed. and my gun sounds a little funny. when i shoot bursts, the first bb to come out, goes about 7 feet and drops, the rest of the stream is straight and powerful.
:S cant wait for my SCAR.

nah man, maybe you lubed it too much or it was too much lubed in the fron of the cylynder which builds up gunk.

do me a favor, take everything apart (i know its annoyin) clean everyting dry.
then apply light amount of lube everywhere were needed. put it together.

im sure its something so small that is fuking things up..inspect carefully

another test u can do is: take mechbox into ur hand, put on safe manually and try shooting. if it doesnt shoot thats good.

then put on semi with ur hand and se if it shoots. if it does then its good.

do the same for auto.

if one of the settings dont work then u have a connection problem. try putting those 2 metal tongues closer together inside the mechbox.

if everything works then its the positioning of the mechbox inside the body.

the first drop off is not a big deal ur probabaly geting "sticking"

try this stuff out and report back

cheers

thanks bud, ill be sure to try it out when i get some free time this week. also, i use a large 3000mah battery, and i can usually stretch the battery to last a complete day of shooting, but when i got the auto working, it drained the battery in less than 5 minutes.

iv gone through a few aegs, and none really had this problem. could this be a result of the wiring?

I have one of those mechboxes. For some reason, the selector disc has a hard time catching on the selector plate. I changed the selector plate and it works fine now.

i took my old CA selector plate and tried to fit it on but it was a tight squeeze, i could barely move the thing with my thumb, nevermind the selector switch.

Yeah, I tried a couple of different selectors before one finally fit properly. I ended up using a TM. Still quite a tight fit, but it loosens up after being used a bit. Plus I lubed it with some silicone grease.
