TM Hi-Capa Silencers vs Others
Finally after searching around I found the threaded ends for the TM Hi-capa 5.1
But I was wondering for those who have EVER put on a silencer on the their Hi-capa did you notice it actually suppressed the noise? Or was it just for looks I noticed the TM Mk23 NBB on youtube was substantially quieter than without the silencer. Would the Mk23 still beat the Hi-capa compared to noise suppression? Why I want noise suppression? I always tread carefully to do some sneaking but once I let out a shot people know where I am. |

TM Mk23 will beat anything for silence. Even without the silencer.
Most of the noise of a GBB comes from the slide movement and banging. |

Oh so it is true eh? The Mk23 is a real silent killer
I couldn't really believe it on youtube cause I just hear the hammer clicking, thinking the gun is just out of gas Anyone else try using a silencer on the a hi-capa 5.1 Last edited by cbcsteve; October 21st, 2008 at 22:43.. |

On a 226 it changes the sound/tone of the shot a bit...but nothing close to suppressing it. It's not just the gas pushing the bb out...but a the piston/blowback chamber shifts the gas to recoil the slide, and that gas goes somewhere as well.
And the clackety-clack of the slide recoiling and returning to battery isn't quiet either. |
