Question about dry firing and lube.

I haven't fired my TM MP5-A5 in 2-3 years, so I put my newly gotten battery in and fired'er up again. The first 4-5 rounds on semi-auto were dry until it finally shot a bb. It also wouldn't fire the last one left in the magazine. Is this normal?

Also I'm curious about the kind of lube I sprayed down the barrel and in the magazine well before I shot it. It's called super lube, a synthetic lubricant with syncolon. Is this stuff alright or did I potentially screw up my gun?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Well I would wipe down the barrel. Not firing the last BB is normal. Dry firing on the first few shots not so much..

Your o-ring on the piston head is likely dried out. Your hop-up rubber is also likely dried out.
