M4 Dismantle
Greetings,
I recently sold the receiver of my King Arms M4 CQB-R, to swap it for another. However, I'm alittle stumped on how to finish this process. This is the first metal AEG that I've attempted to dismantle, so my last issue is the outer barrel assembly. There are no visible screws that I can tell, what action should be taken next? |

You need to unscrew that delta ring and the barrel will slide out. You can use a barrel nut wrench, or other household tools if you're wiling to do that. Hopefully you don't damage it though.

You need an armourers wrench but you said KA right. Good luck taking the ring out. I have one I tried to take the ring out with the right tool but it didnt work. KA might have threadlocked it.

An armourer's wrench is what you need. That ring with the teeth on it is what holds the barrel in place. If you're careful, you can get it with a large pair of vice grips, although don't exert too much pressure.

Seeing as the person that has purchased the receiver is in middle of a build, he'd like the outer barrel assembly as well. So I'll need a new outer for mine, I'm looking into getting myself another KA receiver but I'll also need a barrel lock. I've read on a number of reviews that G&P receivers require a G&P delta ring. I've found a G&P barrel lock but want to know if the threading will be compatible for a KA receiver.
Can anyone confirm this? Or is there outer barrel assemblies that come with the barrel lock? I'm looking for 10.5 inch. |

you can also use a pipe wrench if you dont have a gun barrel wrench.
you might damage your delta ring though.. my style is. i wrap the delta ring with cloth and clamp the pipe wrench. twist it counter clockwise. good luck.

G&P and KA threading are the same, so I assume it would work.
