Yes, our laws are fucked. There's nothing we can do about it, unfortunately. Airsoft lives in a very grey area of the law. While it's not illegal per se, it's not legal either. We have our rules in place in order to try to keep our community protected from further legal clampdowns on airsoft. I'm glad that you're seeing our side of things though. Most underage noobs come in here and throw a hissy fit when they're told they can't have airsoft. You've at least demonstrated a level of maturity that we rarely see with underage noobs.

No.

To set the record straight, it's 152.4mps/500fps and 5.7 Joules.

I don't see any problem with you renting a gun from another member for a day or something and going out to a field to play. As you seem kinda responsible and no one here's flamed you like they do to the rest of the noobs. Also thanks for speaking in coherent sentences and using proper grammar and spelling, for some reason most people who think they're sooo responsible can't even form a coherent sentence let alone sue proper grammar and spelling.

Also it's nice that you listen to the rules and accept them, that shows real maturity. As for the firearms license that has no bearing here whatsoever. Sure we may see you as slightly more responsible but nothing more than that. Also you didn't use it as a bargaining chip (well you didn't say "I've got real steel and I know how to shoot and have been raised with guns my whole life") so thats an extremely good start.

Considering that your father is going to purchase the only way you can really do it is get 2 guns and you can both play. I believe that some places require you to be 16+ with guardian playing (BCAC or Op-For one of the two clubs anyways requires that) or 18+. If not I might see you in 2 years (I travel around a lot during the summer).

Also don't use your current pellet guns at a game (the coper BB ones), thats asking for a lifetime ban and maybe even assault charges.

Do what you want man. ASC is NOT the law.

There ARE retailers out there who do not use age verification.
Things were a 'lil different in '05 - but still - I got an AEG @ 16.

Above all though, act with prudence. The politics here are a necessary facade.

Where can I go for additional information on this subject?

A minors license permits a youth to borrow a non-restricted weapon for the purposes of hunting in most provinces or something like that. So is to my understanding atleast.
