It will be easier to help you once you've actually got the part, plus, most of this is easily learnt from your own experiences.

OK IDEA #3!
lol use a regular blank m4 body, engrave the 416 trades... use 416 FRONT and REAR end, the gap problem with the ris?? can we not use some sort of ris-riser to even it off? (isnt this a commonly used piece? i see them on redwolf an asc al the time) |

the metal conversion on the JG seems to be more trouble than its worth. So you basically have 2 choices.
A. keep your JG as is and enjoy it . B. Sell you rJG keep save your allowance and get your self a VFC before they're sold out. The choice is yours. BTW: VFC uses Parkerizing not Bluing for their receivers.

Dboys Metal bodies I had were very nice, the only thing to gripe about was the selector switch not lining up with TM gearboxes properly.

Unfortunetly your options are running slimmer and slimmer.
You maybe stuck with a plastic body until you can get registered with UKARA. Once that happens your options open up quite a bit. No more two toned funny colored guns, lots more options to buy.

ehm...just to point out...reading earlier about ur problems finding an airsoft retailer in the uk...
I recently moved from the UK where i owned 4 AEG's and a few pistols...dude customs dont give a crap if u import them...even with UKARA I've only heard of tops about 2 people in the UK who were fined 30 quid for trying to import illegally. As for single parts etc they dont even register on the radar. I can name at least 7 or 8 major suppliers based in the UK and outwith that i KNOW right now have replacement parts in stock for the 416...i should know i just bought one in canada (which by the way really hurt - 330 bucks for a damned stock AEG!!! daylight robbery but hey...good gun and worth it for the fun I've had in the outdoor games already) If you are however intent on modifying it, dont go for the body, waste of money. like many have said the body is great as is. Spend the same cash or less and buy a new motor and a FET for the trigger. Mine are on the way and damn I can't wait. I'm sure u noticed already but the stock motor screams bloody murder when its firing full auto lol. Oh and while ur messing around inside you may want to check ur inner barrel. quite a few were shipped with a twisted nozzle end which means the hop is off alignment slightly. mine sorta fired to the left slightly till i got in there and realigned the tube on the rubber correctly. If u need new parts id reccomend ehobbyasia.com or cobraairsoft.com ehobby is probs cheaper on shipping rates however so id think stick with them. (cobra may have changed but i only ever used them for buying AEG's - damned canadian import laws mean i cant buy online anymore...sniff - there was a nice KA M4 CQB for 108 USD, full metal an everything and now no gun...its damned tragic lol!) Basically the purpose of this rant is to say...dammit boy google ur brains out - airsoft is still legal in the UK so parts are no problem for shipping...guns im not so sure anymore but last time i did it i had no probs with the VCRA restrictions with reguards to UKARA so it shud be fine! Enjoy!!! |
