Motor for A&K SR-25 (M130)

Hi,

I think the stock motor in my A&K SR-25 can't pull the M130 spring anymore... Is that possible?

I installed a new cylinder, piston and nozzle and when I tried to test the final result the spring got pulled a bit than eveything got stuck. I hear a clicking noise when I pull the trigger and the cables from my battery are getting hot.

I dissambled the mechbox to see if everything was in order. After the double check, everything looks fine in the mechbox. It's not my first time playing with a V2 gearbox so I don't expect stupid errors here *knocks on wood*.

I tried my SR-25 motor in my G&G GR-16 (M120) and it worked fine.

So I guess I need to change my motor to a superior brand.

Any suggestions? These are the one I had in mind ; G&P M160 or Guarder Infinite Torque-UP

Thank you for your time and help!

And because I really appreciate your help .. GUN PR0N!

If it works on the M120 it wouldn't just "click click" on the M130. Worst case you'd hear it straining.

Sounds like something is binding the box up. Start by checking the new piston.

Did you try putting the G&G motor in the SR-25? If it works, it'll save you the trouble of taking everything apart again.

If it works, you'll not need to buy a new motor. But if it doesn't and the mechbox is good, I'll buy the G&P motor. They say it's as good or better than a Systema Magnum and cheaper too.

UPDATE : I think a found the glitch...

There's something down my piston so the spring gets tighter and causes malfunction.

I tried my old piston with sucess.

Now the problem is I don't know how to remove this thing in the bottom of my piston.. anybody got an idea?

Its the nut that the piston head screw attaches to. Strange that it would cause binging as I have used those G&P pistons before without any problems. They are as tough as hell too.

Torque up gears will also reduce a lot of strain on the motor.

Reviews for the G&P M160 ultra or whatever its called say its almost as good as a SystemA Magnum and $20-30 less depending on where you get it (Redwolf has it at US$55 where the Magnum is US$79.)

I use G&P's speed and torque type motors (M120 and M140 I think?) and they give superior performance to stock TM but aren't even close to a Turbo or Magnum from SystemA. The Magnum beats the Turbo hands down, much higher torque and almost the same speed.

Okay.. I was able to unscrew the piston head..

Now the problem I that I don't what to do with the big chunk of metal taking too much place in the piston...

What are my options?

do your gun wind the spring and then stop or it's just clicking?

edit : d'oh! read too fast my answer is in your first post...

it's obliviously that the spring is beign compressed at it's maximum point! try putting a standard spring guide (the bearings on the spring guide are compressing the sring a little)

also you can try installing bearings (and nut) from another piston in place of that gigantic nut
