There's a lot of guys who live in "no limit" airsoft zones (Hawaii, Philippines) have used the MAX TORQUE gears and put guarder SP150-SP170s and they work fine with them.

I have the element 300% helical gears on a 400fps setup just to see what they're like and they work great. Quieter than flat gears.

One thing that is reflective of the cost is quality control. I have seen some element kits that have come with the axle messed up and bent out of shape. There's no way that a $100 Prometheus kit would come that way.

People get bent out of shape about upgrading their gears for a 400fps setup. I don't know about the rest of people out there, but a lot of the guys on the field who have used stock TM gears for YEARS with a 400 fps setup, and the gears dont fail usually fail unless the shimming or something else is messed up during the upgrade.

Ironically, i've seen a few sets of systema gears chip and break. Could be because the guys who installed them didn't know what they were doing, but whatever.
+1
I seen it all.

Element gearset are for expert use only. Installed one on clients gun and wear is little to none after 1 yr of use.
