interesting, but whats up with all the gas powered sniper rifles? What happened to good old fashioned spring, or electric. I think the WA2000 or M82 would be much better electric and their pgm and cheytac they were releasing earlier should have been spring instead of gas.

the advantage that gas offers over other weapons is the realism of the bolt cocking. in theory, if its a well made rifle, it should fire very consistently assuming the temperature stays consistent.

hell ya. i would up that to insane levels and have a minimum 50 ft (maybe more) minimum engagement rule. really make that gun into the long range rilfe its supposed to be. Tightbore + .43g bbs + Propane + hot day = one long range/badass rifle. i wonder how good the hop-up is.

yep! to add to that, you could have a sniper only game where a bunch of snipers go out seperately and just hunt each other, or maybe 1-2 snipers go out first and a sniper hunting team goes out to find them

It boggles my mind that .50cal rifle is a more appealing niche market for manufacturers to target than many of the iconic WWII weapons that have yet to be reproduced.

People have seen those .50 cal in movies and games and want to bee as cool as *insert 'hero' name here* to pwn tha n00b. Plus, those .50 cal can be sold for much more.
As for WWII guns, the most popular ones have mostly been built already, so the general "l77t Xbox addicted teenager who wants to be like their video game character" market have what they want already.

Sure, there's still players that want them for other reasons, but I don't think that it's most of them.

That's at least my opinion on those facts.

yep, with the amount of wannabe snipers out there, it's most viable for them to make such kool sniper rifles, the WW1/WW2 reenactment niche is alot smaller in comparison I think

oh for sure! i wouldn't actually buy that gun. it would just be cool to have. i would however 100% buy a G43 even though i have an M14 and i would definitely buy an Mp44 if they dont make G43 for WWII winter gaming. and if they ever made a Lee Engfield No. 4 Mk1, then just forget about it cause that guns is realy cool! (though not as cool as the kar98k:P)

Well, they don't make one yet, but baker_Jeff is modding a bolt action rifle with real steel Enfield externals. Not 100% accurate, but man, it looks sweet. Would be awesome and close enough for WWII reenactment.
